Library Book Pledge

 "I WILL TAKE GOOD CARE OF MY BOOKS"

• Never lay books face down

• Use a book mark

• Always turn the pages at the corners

• Never repair books at home.  Send them back to the library to be mended.

"I WILL KEEP THEM CLEAN"

• Read books with clean hands

• Keep books away from food

• Don't draw in books

• Keep books off the floor

"I WILL KEEP THEM DRY"

• Keep books away from drinks and sinks

• Keep books out of rain and puddles

"I WILL KEEP THEM IN A SAFE PLACE"

• Use a clean book bag or back pack

• Have a special place for library books at home

• Keep your books away from "little kids" and pets

"I WILL READ THEM OR LET SOMEONE READ THEM TO ME"

• Reading and looking at pictures is fun and good for you

• Reading and looking at pictures with an adult makes reading feel good and builds good relationships

"I WILL RETURN THEM"

• Bring the books back to the library on or before your library day
