Healthy Youth Survey - October 16, 2008

Parent & Student Information - English

Parent & Student Information - Spanish

Students in the 6th grade will receive a copy of the information regarding the Healthy Youth Survey to bring home.  The survey will be given on October 16th and is totally voluntary and anonymous.

The Healthy Youth Survey asks questions that are related to students' increased risk of injury, poor health outcomes, and alcohol and drug use.  Survey results are used by schools, communities and the state and local health departments to plan programs to support our youth and reduce their risks.

If you do not want your student to participate in the survey, you can excuse your student from participating by calling or sending a note to the school.

Students can also excuse themselves by telling their teacher that they do not want to take the survey.

Students not taking the survey will be provided with an alternative activity, such as silent reading.

There is no penalty for not taking part in the survey.  Your child's grades will not be affected.

If you have questions about the survey, please contact our school at 360-563-4450.

Dear Dutch Hill Families,

Everyone is back in the rhythm of school and all is well at Dutch Hill!

I’d like to thank Chris Campbell, PTA president, Corina Vickers & Heather Norris,

Co-Vice Presidents, Becky Stiegler, Treasurer and Theresa Booth Secretary for making Meet The Teacher Day a huge success!  I believe our students enjoy getting their treat of ice cream almost as much as meeting their new teacher.

Last spring all elementary schools in the Snohomish School District administered the WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning). This test data in partnership with daily classroom assessment will assist us in our effort to help all children learn at higher levels. The following data represents the spring 2008 Dutch Hill WASL results:
