The entire band performs at this event, which usually lasts until noon.  All sixth grade students are encouraged to wear nice attire; dresses and slacks.
Each band member will attend rehearsal at the usual 7:40 a.m. time.  At 8:15 a.m. we will go outside and serenade students as the busses arrive.  All band members are encouraged to dress warm, and wear "Santa Hats."  If it rains, we will still perform, though in a covered area.  Parents are more than welcome to come listen too!
Each band student will be assigned a 20 minute time slot to perform.  Casual attire is acceptable.

(rehearsal/band field trip during the day and evening performance at 7 PM)

In the morning, we will depart DH at approximately 8:40 am, pick up Machias band students, then head on over to Centennial Middle School for our combined rehearsal.  We will rehearse with bands from Machias, Riverview, Emerson and Cascade View.  Students are to bring a sack lunch, with water only for beverages, since we will be eating in the gym area.  Students have the option of buying freshly baked cookies for $1.  We will return to DH at approximately 12:20.

All students should mark their equipment with their full name, and the initials "DH" on them for easy return, if they should be misplaced.

The concert in the evening begins promptly at 7:00 pm, please plan to arrive at Centennial Middle School at 6:30 pm for warm up, set up and allowing plenty of time for parking lot congestion.  Students are expected to wear nice attire (dresses and slacks are encouraged; no shorts).

This is a wonderful opportunity for our students.  It gives them an opportunity to work with different directors, different students and have a large group performing experience.  It will also get them acquainted with Mrs. Pilcher, the CMS band director. After our performance, you will get to hear the 7th grade band perform.  It's always  amazing to hear their progress as well.

Field trip permission slips required.
